I am Fay Carrie, owner and CEO of Fay Carrie Enterprises , an artist and an accomplished business woman who has a passion for using fabrics and other textiles to make quilts and other things. I am an avid collector of fabrics and have been for over three decades. I have taught many people to make quilts, bags and pillow covers, and have lectured on my love of quilting. The creations of Fay Carrie Enterprises are an expression of love and joy.
In 1990 I found my passion. I discovered quilt making and the world of fabrics used to make the quilts. I came to quilt making by way of working in the Private Sector for many years and used my quilt making as a form of therapy and relaxation. The quilt making required using a lot of fabrics and I started collecting beautiful fabrics with the hope of making many quilts. Over time I realized that what I loved the most was working with fabrics and I started using them and other textiles to make other things. The realization was this. I enjoy the creative process that enables me to take a palette of fabrics, with its luxurious colors and designs, and to bring the fabrics together so that they create a quilt, a bag, or a pillow cover whose personality sparkles and stands on its own.
In 1996, Fay Carrie Enterprises was born. I was making beautiful quilts whose beauty I wanted to share with as many people as I could. Very early on, a few of my favorite quilts were photographed and made into Blank Note Cards and sold on my first website which was launched in 1996. It’s been a wonderful journey. Today, I enjoy using colorful fabrics and other materials in the design of my quilts, bags and pillow covers that are chic and contemporary in style. My quilts can be displayed on the wall as pieces of art. They can also be displayed on a sofa or on a bed. My pillow covers will brighten your surroundings. My tote bags are one of a kind and wearable art that are especially useful for travel. My cosmetic bags are colorful and cheerful. All of my products make great gifts. But you can and should treat yourself. Because you are worth it.
